Dr. Travis L. Norris Sr. is the Senior Pastor of New Bethel M. B. Church in East Saint Louis, IL. Under his leadership the New Bethel M. B. Church serves as a model of ministry with a commitment to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ through family enrichment, educational excellence, evangelistic outreach, economic empowerment, and community development.


Travis Norris is a native of Springfield, IL. He preached his first message at the age of seven at the Second Timothy Baptist Church and was baptized soon after. Travis Norris answered his call to preach the gospel under the Leadership of Pastor Claude Farlow in 1999 and was Licensed as a Minister by Pastor Wilbur Day in 2000 at Brown Street COGIC. Pastor Travis Norris was blessed to complete an A. A. in Computer Science in 2000 from Springfield College, a B.S. in Business Administration from Alcorn State University in 2002, and his M.B.A. in Business Administration in 2013. Pastor Norris has continued his education purists when he obtained his Masters in Ministry in 2018 and completed his doctoral dissertation to received is Doctor of Ministry in the Fall of 2024.  In 2004, he married Amtoni G. Pearson and is now a father of three children. He is known across the country as a sought-after Evangelist, Preacher, Teacher and has spent over 15 years as an educator. 


After much prayer, Travis L. Norris Sr. answered the call to the office of Pastor in 2008 and has been serving in this capacity ever since.

our First Lady

Amtoni G. Norris is undeniably a woman of faith. She serves along side her husband Pastor Travis Norris in shepherding the New Bethel M.B. Church. She is an ordained minister of the Gospel and is most noted for her musical gifting in prophetic worship.  She is a motivator and mentor to women with the ultimate goal of changing lives through the Preached Word of God. 


She is a native of Jackson, MS, and was raised under the Pastoral Leadership of Rev. John E. Cameron Sr. (Greater Mount Calvary M. B. Church).  She was baptized at the age of 6 and served as an usher and in the youth choir. Amtoni was blessed and favored by God to be afforded the opportunity to attended Howard University earning her B.A in Mass Communications in 2002. She went on to earn her M.A in Mental Health Counseling in 2014. She is a Professional Clinical Counselor specializing in trauma and chemical dependency. Overall, her hearts joy is being a wife and the mother of three children (Travis Jr, Tylee, and Annslee).


It is with the same zeal and passion Amtoni has accepted the call to serve in leadership at the New Bethel M.B. Church and has devoted her life to discipleship by spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and teaching the Word of Faith.
